動物名。指甲魚。脊椎動物亞門爬蟲綱龜鱉目。外形像龜，背甲呈灰黑色，有軟皮。腹部白色或淡黃色。頸部甚長，四肢粗短，有厚蹼。多棲息於湖沼等溫、熱帶水域。背甲圓形，邊緣柔軟，肉供食用，甲殼可入藥。
